YMCA Camp Menogyn
Grand Marais, Minnesota ยท Since 1922
Founded in 1922 on West Bearskin Lake outside Grand Marais, in the mid-trail stretch of the Gunflint Trail. The camp is reachable only by water and sits next to two entry points into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The first campers came by train, steamship and truck, paddled and portaged in their gear, and helped build the original cabins.
